More than Half of Major Russian Companies Implemented AI in Business Processes in 2024

Domestic AI Developments are Being Implemented More Actively Than ChatGPT

More than half of the largest Russian companies implemented artificial intelligence (AI) in at least one business function by the end of 2024. However, no company has yet confirmed full-scale AI usage.

According to the annual study by the consulting company "Yakov and Partners", in 2024, 54% of Russian companies from the top 300 implemented AI solutions in at least one function in business processes. In 2024, domestic developments in the field of artificial intelligence for the first time surpassed solutions from OpenAI in terms of the number of implementations in Russian companies.

Russian generative AI is being challenged by fine-tuned foreign language models adapted for the Russian language. Researchers emphasize the shortage of video cards for AI training, as well as the lack of qualified personnel. According to their forecasts, the Russian economy needs to produce 15.5 thousand specialists in the field of AI annually by 2030 to compensate for this shortage.

The cost of AI development in Russia increased by 20-30% in 2024. For this reason, personnel costs in many leading companies increased by 10-30%. The cost of licenses and infrastructure has also increased significantly.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that a national standard for data synthesis is being developed in Russia.
