The international sea terminal in Pionersky received the cargo-passenger ferry "Antei". The ship made its first voyage from the port of St. Petersburg "Marine Facade", the press service of FSUE "Rosmorport" reported.
The ferry transported passengers and 17 units of rolling stock.
The "Antei" ferry set off on its first voyage on January 16. Initially, it was planned that the ship would set off on January 15, but due to adverse weather conditions, the date had to be postponed by one day.
Since May 2024, the ferry has started operating on the route "Seaport Ust-Luga - Seaport Kaliningrad". Changing the port of departure will optimize logistics processes and, above all, make transportation more convenient for motorists and passengers who travel without their own transport.
It is planned that ferry services from St. Petersburg to Pionersky and back will run on a regular basis - once a week.
The Ro-Pax class ferry "Antei" is a two-deck vessel that can carry both passengers and transport. Up to 94 road trains can be accommodated on both levels of the ferry. In addition, there are 59 cabins on board that can accommodate 149 people.
The first start-up complex of the international sea terminal began operating in the Kaliningrad region in the fall of 2024. The start-up complex consists of berth No. 1 with a length of 164 meters, a coastal ramp with a length of 35 meters and a water area of 30.4 hectares with navigational depths of up to 7.5 meters. Vessels up to 191 meters long can moor at the berth.
