The production of electric vehicles and hybrids in Russia should increase almost sevenfold by 2030. These figures are outlined in the unified plan to achieve the country's national development goals. Journalists have noted this.
In 2024, Russia plans to produce 8,000 electric vehicles and hybrids, and by 2030 their number should reach 54,250 units. Production growth will be about seven times.
Another goal that the authorities want to achieve is to increase the level of technological independence in the production of universal modular platforms. In 2024, this figure was 44%, and in 2030 it should be around 80%. To achieve this, a pilot project will be launched in the country to develop and produce domestic cars based on a unified modular platform. In addition, serial production of components and assemblies for vehicles and special equipment will be created.
