The crew's servicemen used high-explosive, fragmentation high-explosive, and high-precision ammunition. This made it possible to inflict maximum damage on fortifications, concrete fortifications, armored vehicles, and enemy manpower at a distance of up to 30 km.

The towed 152-mm Msta-B howitzer weighs 7 tons, and its crew consists of 8 people. The howitzer is moved using a standard Ural-4320 tractor – a truck with a 6x6 wheel arrangement and increased cross-country ability. Also, the Msta-B can be transported using a multi-purpose transporter - a light armored tractor (MT-LB), providing a transport speed of up to 80 km/h.

The Msta-B is capable of firing 7–8 rounds per minute. The system's ammunition load is 60 rounds, each weighing about 44 kg. The firing range with conventional high-explosive fragmentation shells is up to 24.7 km, and with shells with a bottom gas generator – up to 30 km. In addition, the howitzer can use the Krasnopol guided munition with laser target illumination.

Target destruction is adjusted by the Orlan-30 UAV crew. The drone is equipped with an optoelectronic system and a special guidance system.

The starting weight of the aircraft is about 30 kg, and the flight range is up to 300 km at a cruising speed of 150 km/h. The flight duration is more than 5 hours.
