The Russian Ministry of Defense has released footage of the combat operations of Su-35S crews while patrolling missile-hazardous directions, intercepting air attack weapons and enemy UAVs.
The pilots used highly maneuverable R-73RMD-2 and R-74M medium-range air-to-air guided missiles with an interceptor thrust vectoring system. Also, the Su-35S is increasingly equipped with R-37M ultra-long-range air-to-air missiles.
The video also identifies the launch of a Kh-31P/PD anti-radar missile, which has a combined solid-propellant-ramjet engine based on an accelerating gas generator, accelerating the missile to a speed of 2M.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian fiber optic FPV drones proved to be completely invulnerable to electronic warfare at the forefront. The new type of UAV does not require careful selection of position and is protected from video signal interception.
