Expert Names Guaranteed Way to Counter USVs in the Black Sea

It is necessary to eliminate their assembly and storage locations

For guaranteed success in countering unmanned surface vessels in the Black Sea, it is necessary to revise approaches and try to eliminate the equipment before it enters the water area. This was stated by the authors of the Telegram channel @submarineru.

The most effective means in the fight against USVs is the total destruction of assembly and storage locations.

A former pilot previously suggested that the problem with enemy USVs will be resolved when the military learns to effectively jam the communication system frequencies for the boats. At the same time, he recalled that neither side has been able to do this for three years.

Military expert Evgeny Damantsev called for abandoning the tactics of countering with Kalashnikov machine gun fire from the sides of a Mi-8 helicopter for a more effective fight against the low-visibility unmanned Magura-V5 boats in the Black Sea, and instead use "Lancet" drones or X-39 missiles.

USV is a surface device that moves at speeds up to 100 km/h. Any type of weapons and electronic warfare systems can be installed on it. They remain a relevant problem for warships due to their mobility and speed.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russian fiber optic FPV drones turned out to be completely invulnerable to electronic warfare at the forefront. The new type of UAV does not require careful selection of position and is protected from video signal interception.
