Prices Increased: New Fares Announced for Moscow Transport

Transfers between наземный transport and between metro, MCC, MCD will remain free

The Moscow Department of Transport has published new fares for the Moscow Metro and other types of public transport. They have increased, as have the rates for moving and storing cars, but transfers between наземный transport and between the metro, MCC, and MCD will remain free. The new tariff grid is valid from January 2, 2025.

To further develop and effectively operate the capital's transport system, we will adjust fares. This will help make urban transport even more modern, and your trips on it even more comfortable and safe. Note that since 2011, we have kept fares for urban transport below inflation by 25%. At the same time, compared to other regions, passengers in Moscow make the longest trips.

The cheapest option remains a one-time trip using biometrics: its cost will be 59 rubles.

The cost of moving and storing cars has also increased. The Department of Transport notes that it will still remain below the city's actual costs for evacuating a vehicle that violates order.

Earlier, the Moscow Department of Transport urged passengers to be vigilant when replenishing their "Troyka" card and Muscovite card. The fact is that fraudsters have started stealing fare payments from Muscovites in the metro.
