The characteristics and technical details of the newest wheeled "Malva" self-propelled artillery unit with a 2A36 cannon have become known. Above the barrel of the self-propelled gun is a radar system for measuring the initial parameters of the projectile upon firing and determining their deviation from ideal values.
The SPG also received an antenna device for transmitting data to the "Dinamika" range dispersion reduction modules. At the same time, if on the 2S35 "Coalition" SPG these subsystems are separated and located to the left and right of the barrel, here they are placed in a single block above the barrel.
A jamming system and a drone protection complex in the form of polymer nets and screens are standardly installed. The level of loading automation remained at the 2S5 level.
The Malva's ammunition load includes the Krasnopol-D guided artillery projectile with a flight range of about 50 km, which has already entered mass production. Laser guidance systems "Aurora" and "Altai" are responsible for the accuracy of strikes.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Russian military combinedsix AK-12s into a single system against UAVs.
