The characteristics and technical details of the newest wheeled self-propelled artillery unit "Malva" with a 2A36 gun have become known. Above the barrel of the self-propelled gun is a radar system for measuring the initial parameters of the projectile during firing and determining their deviation from ideal values.
The self-propelled gun also received an antenna device for transmitting data to the "Dynamics" range reduction modules. At the same time, if on the 2S35 "Coalition" self-propelled gun these subsystems are separated and located to the left and right of the barrel, then here they are placed in a single block above the barrel.
A jamming system and a drone protection complex in the form of polymer nets and screens are regularly installed. The level of loading automation remained at the 2S5 level.
The Malva's ammunition load includes the Krasnopol-D guided artillery shell with a flight range of about 50 km, which has already entered mass production. Laser guidance systems "Aurora" and "Altai" are responsible for the accuracy of strikes.
