Specialists from the 21st Scientific Research and Testing Institute of Military Automotive Equipment studied captured trophy vehicles at the front line. The test results were reported in the journal "Material and Technical Support of the Armed Forces of Russia."
Engineers assessed the capabilities of the American International MaxxPro Plus, as well as the Kozak-2 and Varta, based on criteria of mobility, protection, maintainability, safety, and manufacturability.
They determined that, in terms of overall characteristics, the International MaxxPro Plus, Kozak-2, and Varta did not surpass the collective image of Russian counterparts; however, the designers noted a number of advantages of foreign vehicles. Among them are a sliding gunner's hatch, pneumatic door drive, suspended anti-mine seats, and an additional armor kit for the MaxxPro Plus.
Earlier, photos of a new domestic armored vehicle called "Centurion" appeared on Russian social networks. The armored vehicle has enhanced anti-mine protection, reinforced suspension, and a powerful engine.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian military personnel combinedsix AK-12s into a unified anti-UAV system.
