The online recruiting platform hh.ru and the company QTIM conducted a survey on how IT specialists feel about artificial intelligence. It turned out that IT professionals are not afraid that AI will replace them.
AI does not have the ability to understand the requirements for scaling a product, see the project as a whole, and maintain the code structure identical to linters — code analysis programs.
Respondents are confident that AI is not capable of doing their job, and express greater concern about deepfake fraud. 79% of respondents are convinced that their main fear is not losing their job, but the spread of fraudulent schemes and leakage of confidential data.
Nevertheless, respondents acknowledged the usefulness of AI as an assistant in performing tasks. It helps speed up the search and generation of ideas, reduces the amount of routine tasks, and optimizes the workload. Neural networks also help simplify complex documents and compose responses to clients.
The survey involved about 500 IT specialists, of whom 48% use AI daily. The largest number of respondents (59%) are in the age category from 45 to 54 years.
If choosing between domestic and foreign neural networks, 89% of respondents choose the latter — they show a better quality result.
78% of respondents are satisfied with the work of AI, noting that after the tasks are performed by neural networks, they only need to slightly adjust the final product. Only 1% of IT specialists believe that AI is not suitable for performing work tasks.
