«Moskvich» has once again returned to the top ten leaders of the Russian car market. According to information provided by the Avtostat agency, from December 16 to December 22, 2024, 665 new cars of this brand were sold in Russia.
The sales leader in the Russian market remains the Lada brand, which sold 8,328 cars. It is followed by Chinese brands Haval (3,525 units), Chery (2,879 units), Geely (2,114 units) and Changan (1,373 units).
In addition, the Jaeсoo brand crossed the mark of 1,000 cars sold, selling 1,061 units. The top 10 also included Jetour, which sold 680 cars, «Moskvich» — 665 units, Omoda with a result of 661 units sold, and GAC, which had 546 cars purchased.
In the 51st week, 28.7 thousand new passenger cars were sold, which is 14% more than in the previous week.
Earlier, the «Moskvich» plant summed up the results of 2024 and announced significant success in the field of production localization. Today, the «Moskvich-3» crossover uses exclusively Russian batteries, tires, wheels and glass. It became known that the «Moskvich» automobile plant in the capital plans to establish production of new cars. Who this partner is is unknown. But it's definitely not «Atom».
