AvtoVAZ has announced the start of production of an updated version of its popular Lada Niva Sport SUV. The new car will receive a modernized suspension and a new 122-horsepower engine.
In general, they started assembling "SportNivas", but in extremely small quantities. So far, the assembly is almost 100% manual.
It was noted that the plant's initial plan was 2-3 thousand cars per year, or about 200 pieces per month. However, the next edition will be smaller — a couple of dozen cars monthly.
The cost of the SUV has not yet been announced. It is expected to be around 2 million rubles.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the date for the release of the updated Lada Niva Sport with a reinforced rear axle and a 122 hp engine has been announced.
