Останутся только бенгальские огни: в Госдуме предложили усилить контроль за пиротехникой

The deputy proposed leaving only safe products on sale, such as sparklers

Against the backdrop of an increasing number of incidents with pyrotechnics in public institutions, State Duma deputy Artyom Kiryanov proposed tightening control over the sale of pyrotechnic products.

He emphasized that currently anyone, having only a thousand rubles, can buy low-quality Chinese fireworks in a shopping center, which can lead to injuries or, in the worst case, to terrorist attacks.

Kiryanov noted that pyrotechnics, which in peacetime caused injuries, in the current conditions poses an even greater threat. Such products often become tools for people who are deceived and involved in criminal activity. As an example, he cited situations when crimes are limited to damage to doors or windows, but still cause real damage and lead to criminal cases.

According to Kiryanov, to prevent such incidents, the sale of pyrotechnics should be limited to the holiday period or large-scale inspections should be carried out among traders. He proposed leaving only safe products on sale, such as sparklers, which can create a New Year's mood without threatening the health of citizens and public order.

The deputy noted that many bank employees, couriers and taxi drivers have already learned to recognize victims of fraudsters and help prevent crimes. Pyrotechnics sellers can also play their role in ensuring safety by carefully monitoring the behavior of buyers. If the buyer behaves suspiciously - for example, is nervous or talking on the phone - this should be a signal to call the police.
