Российский гиперзвуковой «Орешник» оказался невидимым для спутников: место пуска не увидят

Satellite reconnaissance assets are unable to track the launch of the latest Oreshnik hypersonic medium-range ballistic missile. The system is characterized by surprise for the enemy, said military analyst, editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko.

According to him, the "Oreshnik" has a very short active section - the moment of launch, when the missile is just gaining speed and is most vulnerable to interception.

The thing is that the launch is carried out from a positional area suddenly for the enemy. Because "Oreshnik", possessing a mobile ground-based missile system, initially does not allow revealing its current location to satellite reconnaissance assets, based on the fact that a set of necessary measures for stealth, operational camouflage, and so on are being carried out.

Korotchenko clarified that then the missile goes into near space, and the deployment of warheads is carried out already during its stay on a ballistic trajectory. Each of the warheads performs an anti-missile maneuver, and also carries out independent guidance and destruction of the programmed target.

Each block is equipped with its own propulsion system, which does not allow even potential interception assets to calculate the interception point and destroy the warhead.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a direct line on December 19, clarified that the range of the "Oreshnik" is up to 5.5 thousand km.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian Aerospace Forces began to use ultra-long-range bombs with UMPB.
