The diesel-electric submarine Ufa (Project 636.3 Varshavyanka) and the rescue tugboat Alatau have returned to Vladivostok. The crews completed the tasks of the inter-fleet transition from the Baltic, the press service of the Pacific Fleet reported.
The solemn meeting of the submarine and tugboat took place at the pier of the submarine unit of the Primorsky Flotilla of heterogeneous forces of the Pacific Fleet. The commander of the flotilla, Rear Admiral Alexei Sysuev, presented awards to distinguished sailors.
The press service of the fleet explained that during the inter-fleet transition, the ships traveled more than 18 thousand nautical miles along the southern sea route. Ufa and Alatau visited the waters of the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Oceans. The transition lasted almost a year.
The crews visited ports in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, China. They took part in the first Russian-Indonesian naval exercise Orruuda-2024.
