Rosoboronexport demonstrated for the first time abroad the "Typhoon-K" armored vehicle with an automated launcher for the "Kornet-EM" anti-tank missile system. The novelty was presented at the Vietnam Defence Expo 2024 exhibition in Hanoi.
The vehicle was developed by the High-Precision Complexes holding (part of Rostec). It is characterized by increased mine and ballistic protection, reliability, maneuverability, cross-country ability and innovative approaches to ergonomics, layout and equipment.
Typhoon-class combat vehicles are capable of fording water obstacles up to 1.50 m deep and climbing slopes with an angle of up to 30 degrees without prior preparation.
Automatic transmissions and diesel engines with a capacity of 350 and 450 hp allow vehicles to reach speeds of at least 100 km/h on the highway and travel up to 1000 km without refueling.
