Apple has begun to reduce the presence of its branded services in Russia. This marks the first significant change since 2022, when the American corporation ceased sales of its devices in Russia.
Insiders have reported that Apple TV+ will no longer release some new movies and series for Russian accounts, although some content is still planned for release. In the future, users from Russia may only have access to trailers, but not the movies or series themselves.
In Apple Fitness+, new workouts for the Russian Federation will be limited. Previously, content was updated simultaneously with the global release, with the exception of workouts with music unavailable on Apple Music for Russia.
A source claims that topping up the Apple ID balance and purchasing applications will not be restricted for now.
The first consequences can already be seen. For example, information about the movie The Gorge has been removed from Apple TV+, as it will not be available for release in Russia.
