В Крыму с 17 декабря будут отключать мобильный интернет для безопасности жителей

Мининформ Крыма предупредил о возможном отключении мобильного интернета

Mobile internet will be shut down in Crimea from December 17 to ensure the safety of the population. This was announced by the Ministry of Internal Policy, Information and Communications of the Republic of Crimea. At the same time, cable internet and cellular services (calls, SMS) will remain available.

Oleg Kryuchkov, Advisor to the Head of the Republic of Crimea, clarified that mobile internet shutdowns may occur at any time of the day. The detailed reasons for such measures are not officially disclosed.

Earlier, there were reports of problems with one of the peninsula's mobile operators, "Volna Mobile." Users complained about mobile application failures and internet shutdowns.

The infrastructure of mobile operators has been growing in recent years. Since 2014, the number of base stations has quadrupled, allowing 2G and 3G networks to cover about 98% of the population and 70% of the territory. At the same time, from 2025, the main telecom operators (Beeline, MTS, MegaFon, T2 Mobile) will cancel roaming charges in Crimea.
