AvtoVAZ will launch production of Lada Niva Sport before the end of December this year. This was announced by the company's president, Maxim Sokolov.
In 2025, the Niva Travel and Niva Legend models will be equipped with new 1.8-liter engines. In addition, Lada Vesta is planned to be updated in winter. The car will receive a six-speed gearbox and automatic climate control.
Currently, the Lada car lineup includes the Lada Granta, Lada Vesta, Lada Niva Travel and Lada Niva Legend SUVs, as well as the Lada Largus model and its electric version, Lada e-Largus. In October 2024, AvtoVAZ launched mass production of the Lada Aura business-class car.
In 2025, the company plans to start production of the new Lada Iskra model, and in 2026 — the B+ Cross crossover based on Vesta.
