The Russian heavy strike drone S-70 «Okhotnik» will receive broad combat capabilities in battle thanks to the new second-stage AL-51F1 engine. This was reported in the Army Recognition publication.
Journalists noted that the AL-51F1 engine features increased thrust and reduced fuel consumption. This emphasizes the suitability and versatility of the power plant for various aerial platforms.
The engine develops a thrust of 11 tons in "dry" mode, which can be increased to 18 tons when the afterburner is engaged. Thanks to these indicators, the AL-51F1 is an effective and powerful option for aircraft operating at high altitudes and high speeds.
As the Su-57 and S-70 «Okhotnik» approach combat readiness, their combined capabilities will provide an undeniable advantage in the air.
