The crabber "Alexander Sapozhnikov" (project CCa5712LS) was launched at the Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant (OSSRZ) in Petrozavodsk. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
The vessel is designed for catching and transporting live crab. Its technical equipment will double the volume of live products transported, increase its safety performance, and improve the seaworthiness required for operation in the difficult meteorological conditions of the Sea of Okhotsk and Bering Sea basins.

The project incorporates innovative solutions for the domestic crab industry, including a system for controlling and maintaining the temperature of seawater and air in tanks and holds. "Alexander Sapozhnikov" is the fourth vessel in the series. It is being built for the company "Russian Crab".
