A former AvtoVAZ engineer shared new details about the upgraded 16-valve engines with a volume of 1.6 and 1.8 liters. The engines will appear on the market only in 2026.
The launch of the larger engine will be synchronized with the release of a new crossover based on the Vesta model. It is assumed that the 1.8 EVO II power plant will first be equipped on the crossover, and then on the Lada Vesta and Lada Aura.
The 1.8-liter engine will be equipped with phase shifters on the intake and exhaust. This will increase the power to 135 hp and the torque to 180 Nm. In turn, the 1.6-liter engine will receive a phase shifter only on the intake, its power will be 120 hp and the torque will be about 160 Nm.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that AvtoVAZ released a million cars in its newest history.
