The first 5G pilot zone has appeared in the Moscow 5G demo center in the "Smart City" pavilion at VDNH. This was reported by the press service of the Moscow Department of Information Technology (DIT).
The capital's 5G laboratory has become the first technological telecom platform in Russia operating on domestic equipment. This will allow developers to test their solutions using the latest Russian base stations, and 5G equipment manufacturers to receive feedback from the industry.
The 5G demo center provides access to high-speed networks and offers unique equipment for work (5G engineering modems, 5G video cameras, and access to the site's cloud resources).
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russian base stations for 5G and 4G will begin production in 2025.
