Control is planned to be carried out through a special panel

The Russian company RuVDS will launch for the first time a picosatellite to manage Ispmanager virtual servers. This was reported by the company's press service.

The Ispmanager virtual server control panel will be deployed on the RuVDS hosting provider's satellite platform. The developers have prepared a special version of the product adapted to the equipment installed on the spacecraft.

The new RuVDS device will be based on the Trisat single-board picosatellite, which weighs no more than 0.5 kg. Despite its small size, it has all the necessary subsystems and carries a payload in the form of a microcomputer with a camera.

The head of Ispmanager, Fedor Bogomolov, added that launching the panel on such a compact platform is a real challenge for the company. The new satellite platform will be the second RuVDS spacecraft.

It is worth noting that the first satellite server was launched in 2023 and for the first time in history provided hosting for a website from space. With its help, the company also conducted a study of the cybersecurity of spacecraft.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Resurs-P satellite No. 5 was delivered to Baikonur.
