Starting in 2028, Russian factories will be able to produce approximately 100 cars for high-speed trains and about 200 cars for fast trains. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov.
Starting in 2028, our factories will have the capacity to produce about a hundred cars for high-speed electric trains and about 200 cars for fast trains. That is, in addition to forming a fleet for the Moscow - St. Petersburg line, companies will have sufficient capacity to provide rolling stock for other high-speed railway lines, which I am sure will appear in the future.
The head of the department also spoke about the progress in developing a domestic train for the high-speed railway line.
Currently, a new synchronous high-speed electric motor with a capacity of 650 kilowatts is being created. To date, a 3D model of the power unit has been prepared, and preliminary load calculations have been carried out.
The cost of manufacturing, certifying, and supplying the first two high-speed electric trains for the Moscow - St. Petersburg high-speed line will amount to 12 billion rubles.
