The Yandex team announced the launch of an update to «Kinopoisk», which now includes personalized statistics for users. Since December 10, cards with year-end results have been available on the website and in the application, showing statistics on films and series watched, the number of ratings given and tickets purchased for movies, as well as favorite genres and teams in the sports section.
The main feature of the update is the appearance of 12 «houses», each of which unites viewers with similar cinematic tastes. For example, the «House of the Great Ahahan» brings together fans of comedies, the «House of Little Green Men» — fans of science fiction, and the «House of Dragons and Dungeons» — fans of fantasy. There is also the «House of Drama Kings» for connoisseurs of dramas and melodramas, the «House on Elm Street» for horror fans, and other thematic «houses», including fans of animation, sports and detectives.
In addition, the update includes a section with the most anticipated projects of 2025, which users can add to the «Will Watch» folder. Depending on personal preferences, users get access to thematic collections of films and series prepared by the editors of «Kinopoisk» for each of the houses.
