Lockheed F-35 Lightning II fighter jets of the Royal Netherlands Air Force intercepted three Russian aircraft over the Baltic Sea. Reuters reports this with reference to a statement from the Dutch Ministry of Defense.

Bulgarian Military clarified that the incident occurred on December 6. Two F-35 fighters took to the air twice from an airfield in Estonia. They intercepted an An-73/74 transport aircraft, a Su-24MR tactical reconnaissance aircraft, as well as an Il-20 integrated reconnaissance aircraft.
