According to Bloomberg, Russia is also unlikely to train Indian sailors to serve on a nuclear submarine. The only active contract between the two countries is the supply of the remaining S-400 air defense systems.

In 2023, only 36% of India's arms imports came from Russia. In 2009, this figure was 76%.

According to the U.S. Congressional Research Service, since 2018, India has signed contracts worth about $20 billion for military products manufactured in the United States. India's state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. and General Electric are close to signing an agreement on the joint production of an advanced version of jet engines for the next generation of light combat aircraft.

Recall that earlier Russia offered India to supply Tu-160M "White Swan" bombers. New Delhi hopes to return to the Ka-226T helicopter development project.
