Engineers will create a long-endurance aerostat

The Dolgoprudny Design Bureau of Automation (DKBA, part of "Ruselectronics") and Bauman Moscow State Technical University will develop aerostat technology. The holding's press service reported this.

A partnership agreement was signed by Mikhail Kalinin, General Director of DKBA, and Mikhail Gordin, Rector of Bauman Moscow State Technical University. According to the document, specialists will use modern technologies to create long-endurance stratospheric platforms.

Aerostat technology can become one of the elements for monitoring, communication relay, and solving special tasks.

As explained in the holding's press service, it is planned to organize pilot production of a free aerostat with an automated pneumatic balancing system.

Work will be carried out on a holding device for a tethered aerostat, a power supply system, and a main winch for a tethered aerostat complex with a volume of up to 5,000 cubic meters.
