The Russian racing truck "Valdai Sport", a participant in the international speed festival "Baikal Mile", was presented at the "Pехали-2024" exhibition for outdoor enthusiasts. This truck is considered one of the best sports trucks in the country.
The all-wheel drive "Valdai Sport" with a closed van body, where the engine is installed, is constructed from domestic serial components. Inside the body is a YMZ-534 diesel engine with a capacity of 310 horsepower. A similar engine can also be found in the "Sadko NEXT" sports truck.
The engine is connected to a 5-speed manual transmission, taken by the designers from the "Vector NEXT" bus. The frame and front axle of the "Valdai Sport" are borrowed from the all-wheel drive "GAZelle", and the rear axle with air suspension is from the "Gazelle City" bus.
Thanks to its design, the truck is capable of reaching speeds of up to 143.5 km/h on the ice surface of Lake Baikal during competitions.
