At the IV Congress of Young Scientists, Ekaterina Solntseva, Director of Digitalization at Rosatom State Corporation, emphasized that the successful development of quantum technologies in Russia requires qualified customers. These employers must clearly understand what specialists are needed to further advance the quantum industry.
It is absolutely certain that not only quantum physicists are needed, although this is very important for the development of quantum technologies, and quantum physics should certainly receive more focus than it currently does. One of the tasks is to create such a "qualified customer", that is, a qualified employer who understands what specialists are needed to develop the quantum industry within their organization.
Rosatom already has advanced training courses where lectures are given by specialists in the field of quantum technologies. The state corporation also actively cooperates with higher education institutions, providing special courses in about 15 universities across the country. In addition, as part of educational initiatives for schoolchildren, "Digital Lessons" are held, where the younger generation is introduced to the basics of quantum physics and technologies.
This direction is of great importance for the formation of human resources in the field of quantum research and technology.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russian scientists created a 50-qubit quantum computer with qudit technology.
