The Novosibirsk “Center for Unmanned Technologies” (CBT) has developed the “Hedgehog” software and hardware complex for electronic warfare (EW), designed to detect UAVs and block their control signal.
“The “birdie” is having its wings clipped. The uniqueness of the complex lies in the fact that it can operate autonomously, without the involvement of an operator, in a dome mode at a distance of up to 1.5 km.
The “Hedgehog” analyzer monitors the radio-electronic environment around the clock and activates the suppression unit if it detects a drone signal. The complex can be installed on any equipment, including automotive and armored vehicles.
Any unmanned vehicle controlled by radio communication has a weak point – the frequency range used for control can be filled with interference, and this will make the drone uncontrollable.
