Vietnamese military personnel have begun installing "barbecues" on Soviet T-54 tanks to protect against drones. This is reported by Defence blog.
The metal structure in the form of a trapezoid protects the tank's turret. Lattice shields have been installed on the tracks.
Such "barbecues" do not protect against anti-tank guided missiles or large munitions dropped from UAVs, but they provide a certain level of protection against small bombs.
The grates also do not protect against side attacks by drones.
As a reminder, Russia was one of the first to start using "barbecues" to protect armored vehicles from UAVs. "Uravagonzavod" produces them serially.
