Earlier, Denis Manturov, Acting Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, stated that the production of Aurus cars at the former Toyota plant in St. Petersburg is planned to begin before the end of 2024.

It is worth recalling that Manturov first announced plans to launch Aurus production in Shushary in November last year. According to the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the cars will be produced in cooperation with a foreign partner. It is possible that FAW, known for its luxury cars under the Hongqi brand, could act as its partner.
