Kalashnikov Concern внедрил МИМ-технологию в производстве АК-12

МИМ-технология позволяет получать готовую деталь без последующей обработки

The main Russian arms concern Kalashnikov has introduced MIM technology (Metal Injection Molding) in the production of the AK-12 assault rifle. The innovative casting method is suitable for the manufacture of other combat small arms.

The press service of the concern stated that MIM technology helps to quickly fulfill orders for combat weapons. In particular, it can be used to obtain a finished part without further processing. At the same time, the surface quality of MIM parts is much higher than that of parts obtained by investment casting.

We are actively introducing advanced competencies in the field of injection molding technologies, fully understanding that this is our future and the key to our sustainable development.
Alan Lushnikov, head of Kalashnikov

The concern is also considering the possibility of introducing this technology in the production of high-precision missile and artillery weapons.
