Specialists of SKB-2 KMZ have developed a compressor for a sprinkler fire extinguishing system. It runs on electricity. Here are the details.
In a sprinkler system there are special devices — sprinklers. They are needed to spray fire extinguishing agent over the fire zone. The devices are equipped with a thermal lock. At a certain temperature, it triggers, opening the supply of fire extinguishing agent for irrigation of the protected area.
Design Engineer of SKB-2 KMZ Nikolai Boldenkov said that with the help of an electric compressor, compressed air will be supplied to the sprinkler fire extinguishing system with a pressure of up to 200 kgf/cm² (20 MPa).
The compressor is automated and controlled via a control and alarm panel.
