Haval has received OTTS approval for the M6 crossover, which will be produced at the PSMA Rus plant in Kaluga, and not at Haval's own plant in the Tula region. The brand's press service confirmed this information.
Production of the Haval M6 model has been established at the Avtomobilnye Tekhnologii production site in the Kaluga region.
The car will be produced in a full cycle, including welding and painting.
Haval M6 is a compact crossover with a length of 4664 mm and a wheelbase of 2680 mm. In the basic configuration with a 1.5-liter engine and a capacity of 143 hp and a manual gearbox, the price is 2,179,000 rubles. The version with a robotic gearbox costs 2,299,000 rubles.
The plans to assemble a "Chinese crossover of a well-known brand" at the plant in the Kaluga region were announced for the first time by Governor Vladislav Shapsha. At the time, he only mentioned that this brand was very popular in Russia, but did not name it.
Haval continues to expand its presence in the Russian market. Sales of the new Haval H5 SUV started in early September, and new brand names were registered for future models.
