The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec) has delivered another batch of serial-produced Su-34 aircraft to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The new fighter-bombers have been sent to their duty stations.
The Su-34 is designed to engage ground and air targets, as well as infrastructure facilities, covered by air defense systems and located at significant distances from the base airfield.
The aircraft operates effectively under enemy fire and electronic countermeasures, day and night in simple and complex weather conditions. The Su-34 can also perform aerial reconnaissance tasks. These aircraft form the basis of the strike power of front-line aviation and are demonstrating their effectiveness in real combat conditions.
Earlier www1.ru reported that an expert found a radical solution to the problem of the shortage of AEW&C aircraft for the Russian Aerospace Forces, he proposed reviving the Yak-44.
