"Angular futuristic design": North Korean tank Cheonma-2 compared to T-14 "Armata"

Bulgarian Military: New DPRK tank less advanced in terms of technology than Russian one

The DPRK Armed Forces presented the latest main battle tank Cheonma-2 at the national defense exhibition. With its "angular futuristic design", the tank resembles the Russian T-14 "Armata", writes Bulgarian Military.

Both tanks are equipped with fully automated turrets and have low-profile hulls for better protection and stealth. The developers of Cheonma-2 copied the layout of parts, including composite armor and T-14 active protection systems.

However, Cheonma-2 is less advanced in terms of electronics than the T-14. It loses to the Russian tank in engine power.

Cheonma-2 combines elements of various tank models, including the American M1 Abrams and the Iranian Zulfiqar.

The frontal part of the tank is slightly different from the T-14, and the driver's seat is located in the front of the hull.
