Rostelecom will create its own voice assistant based on artificial intelligence of its Aurora operating system. It will become an analogue of well-known services, such as Siri for devices on the Apple platform, and will help users effectively interact with devices based on Aurora, said Dariy Khalitov, Senior Vice President for Information Technology at PJSC Rostelecom.
We have plans for just such an AI assistant, an analogue of Siri - the task is in the Backlog.
However, the timing of the project has not yet been determined. The company is discussing the feasibility of creating its own assistant in the presence of ready-made Russian language models, such as GigaChat and YandexGPT.
Also, Rostelecom is considering the possibility of using existing solutions to speed up implementation.
Aurora OS is a domestic operating system developed by Open Mobile Platform, a subsidiary of Rostelecom.
