The Gislaved tire plant (formerly Bridgestone in Ulyanovsk, part of the Cordiant Group) has resumed operations. This was reported by the holding's press service.
The company started the restart with the production of a new summer model under the Cordiant brand.
In 2025, the plant's range will gradually expand, including models from the premium brand Gislaved. The start of winter tire production is scheduled for the first half of 2025.
The annual production capacity of the plant is 2.4 million tires. In 2025, it is planned to produce 1.2 million tires.
The capacity of all Cordiant plants is about 15 million tires per year. The company plans to establish the supply of products to Latin America, Africa and the Persian Gulf countries in 2026.
It is worth noting that Cordiant, one of the largest tire manufacturers in Russia, was sanctioned by the United States in late October 2024. However, representatives of the holding stated that the restrictions would not affect the operation of the plants.
