In the next six years, AvtoVAZ plans to increase its annual production to 700 thousand cars or more. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, Anton Alikhanov, speaking at a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy.
AvtoVAZ will show the best result in the last 15 years. In 2024, it plans to produce more than 520 thousand cars.
In October 2024, sales of Lada cars in Russia increased by 4.8% compared to October 2023 and by 3.3% compared to September 2024. A total of 42.9 thousand cars were sold.
In the ten months of 2024, 377.9 thousand passenger and commercial Lada cars were sold, which is 33.3% more than in the same period last year.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russians are massively buying Lada Largus. The model took tenth place in the ranking of the most popular models on the Russian market and bypassed the bestsellers Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max and Haval M6.
As a reminder, in 2025, AvtoVAZ plans to allocate more than 45 billion rubles for its development. These funds will be used to expand production facilities and conduct research and development work to create new power units and cars.
