MegaFon is launching a service that will notify customers about new operator numbers registered to them. This will allow all users to receive notifications that their passport data is being used to issue new contracts for communication services.
The service is available to both new and existing MegaFon customers. It is connected automatically and does not require any additional actions from users.
MegaFon informs its customers in real time, immediately after the conclusion of a new contract for communication services. The information is transmitted through all available communication channels: via SMS to the old number, by e-mail specified in the contract, and as a push notification if the client has a personal operator account on the smartphone.
The message contains data about the new phone number and instructions on where to go if the number was not registered by the owner.
If a subscriber receives information about a new number registration unknown to him, he needs to urgently visit the communication salon, present his documents, after which the number will be blocked.
The service provides MegaFon subscribers with additional protection against the actions of intruders who may try to gain access to personal data and register a new number using fake documents.
Earlier www1.ru reported that MegaFon launched a home Internet service in 18 regions. This step was taken after expanding cooperation with Rostelecom under the FVNO (Fixed Virtual Network Operator) model.
