Central University, together with members of the Alliance in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), has launched a program to prepare high school students for the International AI Olympiad, which will be held in China in August 2025. The program for developing training for schoolchildren was announced during the awarding ceremony for the winners of the All-Russian AI Olympiad.
The program was prepared by leading experts and teachers of Central University, as well as specialists from companies belonging to the Alliance, such as T-Bank, Sber, and VKontakte. Among the teachers are those who prepared the team that won the first international AI Olympiad, which was held in Bulgaria in 2024.
The program includes online training for the finalists of Russian Olympiads in the field of AI, which will begin in January and last for 13 weeks. The course will consist of homework in English, additional materials, and seminars. After the first stage, in April, there will be on-site training camps, where two teams of four people will be selected to receive in-depth preparation for the international Olympiad.
From May to August 2025, preparation will continue both in person and online on the campus of Central University and at the sites of partner companies of the Alliance. After completing all stages of preparation, participants will go to China for the international AI Olympiad.
Rector of Central University Evgeny Ivashkevich noted that the training program is based on theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as on the experience gained in preparing the team that won the first international Olympiad.
