The absolute winner of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren in Artificial Intelligence 2024 was Yaromir Khrykin, an 11th grade student from Moscow. Three other students also shared first place: Artem Kashtymov from the Krasnodar Territory, Andrei Khlopotnykh from St. Petersburg, and Artem Mazur from Moscow.
Second and third places were taken by eight students in grades 10-11 from Moscow, Novosibirsk Region, and the Republic of Bashkortostan. The winners were congratulated by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko and Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergei Kravtsov. Chernyshenko noted that the victories of these students confirm their talent and knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence, as well as the importance of working to achieve Russia's technological leadership. Kravtsov added that the Olympiad provides an opportunity for schoolchildren from all regions of the country to become part of the community of future IT specialists.
The final of the Olympiad was held from November 11 to 16 at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Winners and prize-winners will receive additional points or will be able to enroll in leading universities in the country without entrance exams. In 2024, more than 18 thousand schoolchildren from 89 regions of Russia participated in the Olympiad.
The All-Russian Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence 2024 for students in grades 8-11 is part of the national program "Digital Economy of the Russian Federation" and is held as part of the II level of the Olympiad, which is included in the RSH list for the 2024/2025 academic year. Schoolchildren in grades 8-11 of Russian schools can participate.
The Olympiad includes an open training stage with tasks from previous years, as well as online classes to prepare for each stage. Basic programming skills are sufficient to participate. Participants can independently choose a programming language to solve problems.
