This was stated by Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov at a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Defense of the CIS member states. The head of the Ministry of Defense noted that the Russian chairmanship in 2024 was aimed at ensuring regional security.
Thus, unified air defense systems and a common radar identification system "Password", systems for monitoring radiation, chemical and biological environment have been created and are successfully operating. In addition, the countries of the Commonwealth are actively exchanging combat experience, including that gained in the special operation zone.
We made a decision to improve joint military systems, in particular, a unified state radar identification system, a unified military geographic information system, a joint air defense system of the CIS member states. We approved a plan of joint combat training activities of air defense troops for the next year, approved a program for preparing for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and holding the fourth military-sports games of friendly armies dedicated to this anniversary. We agreed, within the framework of interaction with various countries and organizations, to promote the strengthening of stability in the Eurasian region.
Belousov also noted that the parties are actively discussing the implementation of the Concept of Military Cooperation within the CIS until 2030. According to him, the concept "is aimed at increasing the combat capability of national armed forces and ensuring the protection of our states".
