Planning Beyond the Horizon: "Tornado-G" MLRS Unleashes Fiery Whirlwinds with Latest Ultra-Long-Range Missiles

Firing range is 40 km

A video has surfaced online showing the Russian 122-mm "Tornado-G" multiple launch rocket system firing a salvo at enemy positions. Troops used ultra-long-range projectiles, according to military expert Evgeny Damantsev.

Equipped with an advanced automated fire control system (AFCS), as well as long-range unguided rockets 9M521 and 9M518, the "Tornado-G" deploys to a firing position in 40 - 50 seconds and carries out a missile and artillery strike on an enemy target at distances of 40 and 30 km, respectively.

This MLRS provides the possibility of counter-battery warfare even against long-range self-propelled guns "Archer", whose tasks include fire impact on our facilities at an operational depth of 20+ km.
