The first images of the latest AL-51F1 second stage engine have appeared online. It is designed for the fifth-generation Su-57 multirole fighter.
It is known from open sources that the AL-51F1 is a fifth-generation turbofan engine with a two-shaft design and afterburning. It is equipped with a five-stage high-pressure compressor and a three-stage fan, which are driven by a single-stage high-pressure turbine and a single-stage low-pressure turbine, respectively.
The AL-51F1 has a thrust of 11,000 kgf without afterburner and 18,000 kgf with afterburner activated. The specific gravity of the AL-51F1 is 0.078, which means the ratio between the dry weight (1400 kg) and the maximum thrust (18,000 kgf).
The new engine will provide the fighters with increased thrust and fuel efficiency thanks to an automatic fuel control system that takes into account atmospheric pressure, flight altitude and humidity.
Also, the thermal signature of the AL-51F1 has been reduced, which will make the fighter less visible in the infrared range.
Earlier, www1.ru wrote that the "Zoo-1M" radar station has become the god of counter-battery warfare. The complex is equipped with a three-coordinate monopulse radar with a phased antenna array.
