Assembly of Space Head Section with 55 Satellites Completed at Vostochny

The launch of the Soyuz-2.1b rocket with a payload of 55 spacecraft is scheduled for November

The assembly of the space head section, designed to launch two Ionosfera-M satellites and 53 small spacecraft, has been completed at the Vostochny Cosmodrome.

Integration procedures were carried out by specialists from Roscosmos State Corporation, including teams from the Vostochny Space Center, Lavochkin Research and Production Association, and VNIIEM Corporation. Mechanical and electrical стыковки of the satellites were installed and tested on a special stand, and the head fairing was rolled on to protect the payload.

Final operations are currently underway, after which the space head section will be delivered to the launch vehicle for final assembly. The launch of two helio-geophysical spacecraft "Ionosfera-M" and 53 secondary satellites by the Soyuz-2.1b rocket with the Fregat upper stage is scheduled for early November 2024.
