Russian Software Tests for Pilots Begin at Aeroflot

The "AFLT-Systems" program can be used during flight

Aeroflot has announced the start of pilot testing of new Russian software for pilots. The software was developed by AFLT-Systems. It is called "Electronic Pilot Portfolio."

The application contains all the necessary flight documentation, including navigation charts, operating and flight operations manuals, a list of minimum equipment list (MEL), and instructions for the crew in emergency situations. The program can be used both in preparation for the flight and during it.

The program works on the principle of "all in one". It combines an electronic flight plan, diagrams, and reports on the flight. It is claimed that the software is as good as that of foreign manufacturers.

Full implementation of the development into commercial operation will take place in early 2025. The service is intended to be extended to the entire Aeroflot Group.

As a reminder, AFLT-Systems is Aeroflot's IT subsidiary, and its software products are based on the Aurora OS.
